Kacie Hester received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Business from Western Carolina University in 2020. While at Western Carolina, Kacie worked as a resident assistant in the dorms across campus. Assisting students through their college journey. She also worked as a child advocate reviewing forensic interviews and making notes needed for court. Kacie also worked as a rural victim’s advocate in Macon, North Carolina, assisting those experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking across multiple counties.

Kacie is working towards her master’s in clinical mental health from The Chicago School. She is dedicated to providing empathy and collaboration. Kacie aims to work with families who have experienced trauma. She is currently working with youth in a transitional living facility to aid them in developing the necessary skills to thrive in adulthood. Kacie is continuing to provide clinical support to individuals and families working with Therapy of Hickory as her next step.
