Lauren N. Flower, LCMHCA - Intern
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor - Intern

“It is my honor and joy to work with you on your journey to whole and sacred living.”

Lauren began her journey in healthcare working as an Emergency Medical Technician in 2015. She worked as a first responder for Breckenridge Mountain Ski Patrol and in the emergency room at Copper Mountain Medical Center in Colorado. Lauren also spent time working as a medical assistant in a family practice and multi-specialty clinic. Lauren enjoyed the work as an EMT for many reasons, but felt that her work in the medical field left little room for developing a deeper relationship with her clients. This desire for a deeper connection led her to rethink her career path in the medical field. In 2019 she decided to pivot from tending to the physical needs of clients to focusing on the mental and emotional needs of clients. This broad range of healthcare experience has given Lauren a unique perspective of the individual as a whole.

Lauren received her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in 2012 and is currently completing her master’s degree in counseling at Montreat College. Lauren is scheduled to graduate as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in May of 2023. Lauren works with couples, families, and individuals.

When Lauren is not working, she spends most of her free time outdoors where she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, fly fishing, and traveling to beautiful places with her husband and chocolate lab.

“Understanding why people suffer, how they change, and how to help them live more satisfying and gratifying lives is a fascinating, huge, and important undertaking.” - John Sommers-Flanagan and Rita Sommers-Flanagan
